Luis is a native of Ecuador and hence a native Spanish speaker.  He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of California San Diego in Spanish Literature with a minor in Political Science, and a Master of Arts in Spanish from Middlebury College in Vermont and Madrid Spain.  He has experience as a high school Spanish teacher and as an Adjunct Professor of Spanish at the Citadel in South Carolina.
