Bruce McClure, aka McTutor
McTutor is my way of providing personal tutoring on line to individual students at a reasonable cost, as well as providing more traditional in person tutoring in a variety of subjects. I am a professional tutor as well as a former Assistant Professor at the Northern Virginia (NOVA) Community College. My course load at NOVA included math, physics, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. Over the last several years I have tutored students who range from 4th grade to college.
Online tutoring is an easy and affordable way for students in many subject areas to get help. As long as you have a computer and, preferably, a broadband Internet connection, you can connect with one of our exceptional tutors.
My reason for tutoring math is to give something back as a way of saying "Thanks" to my high school trigonometry teacher, Mr. Byers. He inspired me - without ever knowing it I'm sure - to learn, and in particular to learn math. That inspiration led to an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy where I graduated with an engineering degree in the top 2% of my class. Without Mr. Byers, I might not have even gone to college let alone complete Admiral Rickover's nuclear engineering program and ultimately become an instructor in that program. In 1995, as a Captain, I retired from the Navy and began a career in education. I am currently semi-retired and teach part time at the Community College level. I have recently relocated my base of operations to the Las Vegas area, but I am frequently in San Diego and continue to provide this service there.
I hope you will give us a chance to help with your tutoring needs and try McTutor.
